This Sunday, Clive Wilson will be presenting the second message, 'Courage' in our new teaching series, The Future Is Now, based on Acts 3 to 5.

God's plan for the restoration our broken world is the establishment of a new heaven and a new earth. While this describes a future event, God has already started the process of establishing His kingdom on earth. A defining moment in this process is found in Acts 1 and 2 which records the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birth of a new community, the church.

In this new series we are examining how the early followers of Christ were less concerned about following the rules and regulations of a law-based-faith, than they were about living out the values of the this new kingdom that was being established by God.

Over the coming weeks we will see how five kingdom values; compassion, courage, prayer, generosity and integrity became the way of life for these early believers, as it had been for Jesus. The challenge in 2012 is to realise that the future is now and embrace these same kingdom values in the power of the Holy Spirit.
